skype client keep saying "another instance may exist", which Im sure it's not. give a look at the .Skype folder in your linux box home [~]
Mine was root:root owner, which is obviously wrong, of course. (becasue of my wring import from previous home page).
After a :
chown -R username:username .Skype
I was finally able to log in to skype again
